Help Desk Technician

$35-$45K plus bonus potential up to 20%

Position is located in the Streeterville neighborhood in Chicago.

Must own a reliable car to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities:
-Manage a client base with full responsibly for IT issues (75% of time in office / 25% of time at client sites).
-Design and implement IT solutions for client base.
-Designs document and maintain client infrastructure.
-Design document and implement client backup and disaster recovery systems.
-Monitor client systems performance and reliability.

Qualifications:
-Familiarity with installation and support of Microsoft Windows and Exchange family product in an enterprise environment.
-Familiarity with support of common business applications such as Microsoft Office, SQL, Anti-Virus, and backup software.
-Familiarity with network connectivity technology such as routers, switches, DSL, T1, W-Fi, firewalls, VPN's and the like a plus.
-A proven knowledge of network protocols and applications such as DHCP, DNS, SNMP, SMTP, FTP, NSLOOKUP and POP a plus.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-A Proven customer service record dealing with clients in a dynamic environment.
-Excellent problem solving skills.
-Reliable means of transportation.
-Certifications such as Cisco, legal industry experience or consulting experience beneficial but not required.
