PHP Web Developer

Position is located in Mount Prospect, IL.

$55-$75K

Develops and maintains the installation, configuration, and support of the organization's system web applications and web services through best practices and industry standards. This individual is responsible for creating landing pages, business applets and ensuring the mapping of data back to the CRM system as well as delivering deployments of all change management in cloud computing environments support Marketing , Sales & Supply Chain Business Needs.

This person will analyze and resolve software application issues in a timely and accurate fashion, as well as hold responsibility for monitoring data quality. This position will also apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to guide and assist on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of software critical to business operations. Prototype, design, and build graphic user interfaces (GUIs) for software development, Web forms, and other applications. This includes capturing user requirements through collaboration with the Applications Manager, facilitating and participating in testing sessions, and coordinating final implementation of the GUI based on feedback. This individual will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate, verify, communicate, and resolve systems/software application issues through careful testing in order to maximize the benefit of IT investments and initiatives.

Responsibilities:
-Participate in establishing Web development strategy.
-Develop and communicate Web site usage and security policies and standards to all users.
-Collaborate in Upgrading the Web site architecture and overall site structure.
-Establish policies and procedures for publishing Web pages and applications in conjunction with content creators.
-Conduct research into emerging Web technologies in support of Web development efforts.
-Install and configure HTTP servers and associated operating systems.
-Identify, recommend, and prioritize new Web features and applications in conjunction with business leaders and department managers.
-Develop, code, install, test, debug, and document Web applications using appropriate editors.
-Ensure security of all Web sites and related applications.

Qualifications:
-Computer Science, MIS or related degree required
-Must have in-depth knowledge of Internet programming languages, web technologies, protocols, and tools including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, RTML, XML, Cross Browser Compatibility, MySQL, database design and administration, SSL, HTTPS, SVN
-The focus is working with applets, squeeze pages using the current technology with the focus in mind that the company may need to port to another technology when systems project starts to move forward.
-Must have in-depth knowledge of Applets and Squeeze pages ecommerce experience
-Some ecommerce experience is helpful and knowledge of building shopping carts for websites
-Proven experience in installing, upgrading, and maintaining Web servers and associated operating systems, including Apache, https, MySQL, *nix.
-Some knowledge of database development, including design, creation, administration and optimization of relational databases.
-Experience in gathering and analyzing business requirements
-The ideal candidate will be a data-driven, decision maker who has successfully completed three (3) or four (4) large web development projects.
-SEO experience with Google Webmaster Toolkit would nice-to-have.
