Software Engineer - Options

In this role, you will be part of an options trading development group that is responsible for developing and maintaining highly scalable, multi tiered trading applications and infrastructure for the new option market making business. This hands on role will work on high performance exchange connectivity and the advanced server infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
-Develop Linux based C++ servers to exchange specifications that to receive price, place quotes and orders.
-Enhance and support existing server processes, addressing exchange timeframes for API upgrades.
-Support and add to the current in-house library code base.
-Create new servers and libraries.
-Develop/modify test harnesses for any new/modified processes.

Qualifications:
-Good communication skills.
-Very strong programming C++ skills in a Linux environment.
-Experience with TCP protocol and pub/sub middleware.
-Experience with Multithreaded programming and locking.
-Experience with STL and Boost.
-Analytical and problem solving skills.
-Perl or Python scripting is a plus.
-Knowledge of operating systems and networks.
-Proficient with source code management system.
-Confident team player motivated by a fast paced environment.
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
-Minimum 5+ years hands on development experience
